Public criminal-record access in Illinois is divided among several custodians. Pike County Sheriff holds its reports and booking material, the Circuit Clerk keeps filed cases and dispositions, and the Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification maintains the state repository. IDOC and the Illinois State Police Sex Offender Registry answer still different questions. This private resource organizes the official contacts, portals, charges, and request procedures for those offices so readers can start with the right source.
